The day of your appointment.
When you arrive please wait at the gate and press the ring door bell, we will come to you as soon as possible but May be busy with another dog so please be patient.
Please feel free to park on the drive if there is space available.
At this moment in time we are still doing all handovers at the front gate, as we have 2 members of staff working on separate dogs, we have found that other customers coming into the grooming room during in another dogs groom can cause the dogs to become upset or over excited making them difficult to work with.
Please arrive at your appointment time, if you are more than 15 minutes late your Appointment we may not have sufficient time to carry out your dogs groom and you will be charged 100% of the fee, we will try to offer you a service we can fit in the remaining time such as just a bath and dry.
Equally please do not arrive to early, if you arrive to early you will be asked to wait as we don’t have space to house waiting dogs.
We will give you a time to collect your dog at drop off so please arrive at this time, if you do not collect your dog within 30 minutes you will be charged £10 as this will delay other appointments. This is especially important for end of the day appointments as we need to collect our children from nursery at 5:30pm.
Please also ensure your pet had had chance to go to the toilet before they are groomed, please make sure you pick up after your dog should they go on our property, we can provide bags if needed.
Before your dog's 1st groom with myself allow “10 minutes” extra time to discuss your requirements and advise me of any other additional information you believe I should be aware of.
Unfortunately it’s not possible for you to stay with your dog during their appointment. Firstly we do not have insurance to cover human customers from injury/accident in our grooming room, we also may not know how the other groomers dog may react to strangers. Secondly most dogs will behave better when their owner isn’t visible. With you in the room your dog will look to you for comfort and will keep turning to face you, when it’s just us and your dog, your dog will look to us for comfort and will help us form a more trusting bond and make the grooming experience quicker and easier for your dog.

Matting policy.
In accordance with the animal welfare act 2006, it's our professional opinion to remove any coat that is matted.
Whilst we will make every effort to identify any matting at the start of the groom there may be occasions where the degree of matting cannot be fully identified until we begin to bath.
It is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal, this includes de-matting.
Bark In Style Dog Grooming will NOT attempt to brush out any matting, this will be removed with clipping.
We will attempt to inform you before Carrying out a full clip off (cut short) and recommend how to prevent this in the future. By signing my T&Cs you agree that we can clip your dog's coat off if necessary, We will not be held responsible for how your dog's coat grows back or how your dog acts following a clip off, some dogs find going from long to short hair a strange experience.
No Liability will be accepted by Bark In Style Dog Grooming when any Health problems or conditions occur if your dog has to be Clipped off, When a dogs coat becomes matted, it pulls tightly on the skin and underlying health conditions may not be visible.
When a Matted coat is clipped short, it may reveal sore, reddened and irritated skin, there are various conditions they can occur following a clip off. If your dogs ears are matted extensively it is possible that an Aural Haematoma can occur sometimes a few days following the dogs Appointment, this happens because the dog will shake their head excessively which in turn can cause this condition, please seek veterinary advice straight away. Bark In Style Dog Grooming will not be held responsible or liable for treatment following a clip off, this includes clipper rash or nicked skin which is very common, obviously Bark In Style Dog Grooming will take every precaution to prevent this.
Clipping a matted coat will take longer and cause more wear and tear on my equipment so an additional fee of £5 may be added to your original groom price.
