Bark In Style is a small dog grooming salon, based in Abingdon. I can groom most small to large dog breeds in a variety of styles and specialise in easy to maintain pet grooms. I has been grooming for just over 9 years and started training when I got my first dog Molly, who is a long haired Jack Russel. I trained alongside an experienced groomer for 4 years and undertook her level 2 city and guilds in 2016. I worked as a solo groomer running a salon based at a kennels for from 2016-2020, then during the first lockdown took a big leap and converted my large shed into a home salon and Bark In Style Dog Grooming was born! I have two children under the age of 2 and two dogs of my own Molly the Jack Russell and Xavier the border collie, so as you can imagine life is pretty busy!

Owner/Groomer
One day while working as a healthcare assistant in a busy operating theatre at the John Radcliffe, we were all talking about what job we wanted to do but had never done, for me I had always wanted to be a veterinary nurse so following this conversation I looked into animal nursing. Knowing I would need experience working with animals I started work experience in a kennels on my days off, where after a few days they asked if I wanted a job as a trainee groomer. Taking a big leap I decided to go for it and ended up finding my passion and something I was natural gifted at.
Since then I trained alongside Gavin for 3 years and undertook my level 2 qualification at Abingdon and Witney college in 2016, as well as multiple specialist training days. I then took over the running of the salon at the kennels before starting Bark In Style Dog Grooming in 2020.
Outside of work I like to compete in in agility with Xavier my 6 year old collie, we have previously qualified for the GB team try outs and Olympia, but now I’m a busy mum of 2 we just train for fun and compete occasionally.
